Frankie Campbell Highland Dance (FCHD) is fully committed to safe guarding and maintaining high standards of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This Policy describes how personal data must be collected handled and stored to meet our data protection standards and to comply with the law. Please read the following carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data.
Information we collect:
- Information collected via our online registration platform Class for Kids. This includes: parents name, email address, contact number. Students name, date of birth, important medical information.
- Occasional class photos and video footage where applicable (as per photography consent form).
- Observational notes on performance/progress of the student.
- Safeguarding concerns.
How we use information collected:
- To track and acknowledge students enrolled in class by a password protected register.
- To carry out our obligations during the class timetable.
- To carry out any business essential administrative processes including Memberships.
- To allow our students to participate in extras such as exams, performances, competitions and demonstrations.
- To enable us to provide support to customers and students when requested.
- To notify you of any changes to our timetable.
- To provide any information requested or that we feel you may be interested in.
To comply with GDPR guidelines, we agree to:
- Store any personal identifiable data, recorded on paper, in a securely locked drawer of filing cabinet with at least one lock.
- Store any personal identifiable data, recorded on a device securely, ensuring at least two passwords and/or encryption where possible.
- Consider the purpose/s of why we hold the information and decide how long it needs to be retained.
- Securely delete, or shred any hard copies, of information that is no longer required.
- Update, archive or securely delete information every two years.
FCHD have never shared data or personal information with any third parties. All data stored is legally required and that which allows us to provide an effective and efficient service. When registering with Class for Kids, these are secure details which we have no access to share or amend on your behalf.
